'Wolverine' Game to Feature "Eye-Opening Bloodshed"

From: GetTheBigPicture.net

We know that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is hitting theaters this May, but it's also coming to PS3 and X-Box 360. There will be a video game released around the same time by Activision-owned Raven, and while it apparently follows some of the plot of the movie (it's a Wolverine origin story, in any case), early indications are that the game could be pretty graphic.

1up has a preview of the game, which features a lot of history about the relative failure of comic book-based video games, it is said that the "eye-opening bloodshed [of Wolverine] is also reminiscent of Ninja Gaiden." How much blood? Project lead Dan Vondrak says the more the better:
"I've played previous X-Men games, and you just hate it when you're like, 'This isn't what it's supposed to be like to fight this guy. I'm Wolverine. How come I can't ever just grab a guy and rip him in half?' Yeah, absolutely -- let's do that. Nothing's holding us back."
Wolverine is not impervious to punishment. The character is designed to show the physical effects of violence and regenerate in real time. Cool. Vondrak also vows that other games will frustrate you after you play Wolverine because of how slow the action is in them by comparison.
